Obituary for Johnny Bailey
Johnny Lee Bailey of Eusatce, Texas was born on January 29, 1963 in Athens to Hillard Turner and Myrtle Catherine Stephens Bailey and passed away on August 22, 2017 at his home in Eustace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Velma Duran Bailey and sister Peggy Graham.
He is survived by his brother Jim Bailey, sister Carol Morton and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members as well as a host of friends.
Johnny was a graduate of Eustace High School and began his working career with the Southern Pacific Railroad and then went on to work for TP&L Electric in Trinidad, Texas. He was a gifted mechanic and could work on any machinery from lawn mowers to tractors, trucks and his favorite race cars. He and his brother Jim rebuilt and raced cars at a local country race track and usually smoked the competition. But his greatest love and passion was serving the Lord and telling all that he came in contact with of his heavenly Father. He wanted to make sure that all that he knew and loved had God’s word and through the years he has passed out many bibles. He now has met his greatest desire of meeting him face to face.
Pallbearers will be James Morton, Tad Morton, Wade Morton, Trevor Garcia, Kerry Clark and Larry Merrifield.
